Covid-19 Policy

TimeLine Events are committed to ensuring all events are run safely and within current Government Covid-19 guidelines, however the surge in positive Covid cases since November 2021 has meant we feel we have no choice but to introduce an extra level of protection for all of our participants by requiring a Covid Lateral Flow Testing to be done ahead of all events for the foreseeable future, or at least until we get over the latest spike. This decision has been made to protect us all from each other and for no other reason than to ensure we are all safe while trying to enjoy a days photography.

While the Government say show a vaccine pass or do Lateral Flow Tests when attending an event with a sizeable crowd, in some incidents in excess of 4000. Sadly it is becoming very apparent that this is clearly not enough given the amount of people currently testing positive. Being ‘vaccinated’ only protects the NHS by helping to reduce your symptoms but it does NOT stop you getting Covid or passing it on, it does however in some incidents stop you feeling ill so you become ‘Asymptomatic’ which is even worse. A Lateral Flow Test is in excess of 95% accurate and takes around 30 seconds to do, so can be done the night before or the morning of the event you are attending.

LFT’s can be sourced from local Chemists, and the Government website, (link below). Once you have your test it is easy to administer with a small swab that you insert in the nose and or mouth, then in put it into the liquid pot that comes in the kit before dripping some of the liquid on to the test tablet. Within minutes you will see the results. Then you upload the result to the Government website and wait for the result via a text or email. It has to be said that this is done on trust, but we are all adults and it is hoped we all put ours and others health ahead of anything else.  You do NOT need the NHS App to upload your test results and you do NOT need to have an account with the Gov/NHS to upload your result and to get the email/text result.

If you do not use a smart phone please email us for further information on how to get the results administered.

Lateral Flow Tests can be ordered via the Government Website here - https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
You upload your results by following this link - https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result

The information below is designed to offer participants reassurance that TimeLine Events are putting everyones health at the forefront of all decisions made about the safe running of future events and training courses. This information will be updated as new guidelines become available from the UK Government but should at all times be seen as a guide only and as the purchaser of a ticket to a TimeLine Event you ultimately take personal responsibly for your own health and safety while in attendance of any event.

Coronavirus Symptoms

The main symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

Most people with coronavirus have at least one of these symptoms.

If you have any of the main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), you must stay at home (self-isolate) and get a test.

Do not come to an event organised by TimeLine Events if you have any of these symptoms.

We will be doing checks for symptoms on arrival at all of our events, including a temperature check using a digital infrared thermometer. If you have a high temperature on arrival you will not be permitted to join the event.

Travel to Events

Please follow the most up-to-date government guidance regarding using public transport. It is safest if you use your own car to travel to an event. If you do take public transport to an event, then please follow guidance regarding face masks and social distancing.

Please follow the most up-to-date government guidance regarding car sharing. It is safest if you use your own car to travel to an event. Please be aware that car sharing could lead to a requirement to isolate for 14 days under the "track and trace” system.

Track and Trace

If any participant develops symptoms as described above, you must self-isolate and get tested. If a contact tracer gets in touch with you as part of the government’s "track and trace” system, please give them Timeline Events’ contact details. If the social distancing rules as described below have been adhered to, then no other participant should count as a "contact” under "track and trace”. As we will be partaking in track and trace the venues we use will also require your details for their own track and trace to be held for 21 days. When purchasing tickets to events running under the Covid-19 Government guidelines you agree for us to send your details to the venue for each event for track and trace and to partake in the track and trace scheme.

Social Distancing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

We ask you to observe social distancing during our events. As our initial events will be open air events, we are not enforcing any requirements for participants to wear face masks or other PPE as long as they respect the 2m rule for social distancing at all times. However, we will have a supply of face masks available should any participant wish to wear one. Take care when donning and doffing a face mask, as these actions can easily spread viruses if not done correctly.

If a distance of less than 2m from another participant is unavoidable then please keep this to a minimum (less than 15 minutes to avoid "track and trace”) and avoid face-to-face contact at less than 2m. We will be limiting the number of participants on any event and splitting the group into smaller sub-groups as necessary to facilitate taking photographs while respecting social distancing.

Make sure that you wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds during the event. We will have hand sanitiser available for use. Do not share camera equipment with other participants.

It will not be possible to offer catering at all of our events. Where catering is possible this will be communicated to you in the joining instructions. Catering will only be possible where the location is able to satisfy us that they can do so in line with the latest guidance and requirements.

Toilet facilities will be offered where the location is able to satisfy us that they can do so in line with the latest guidance and requirements.
