I recently attended my first TimeLine Event at Didcot, having just joined as a TLE member  - Winter in the shed - what a great experience! Merging together my passion for social history and photography I was really looking forward to the event - and I wasn't disappointed! The venue was brilliant - old, authentic and atmospheric - even more so due to the smoke machines and steam from the trains.  Together, with professional, flexible, approachable and adaptable re-enactors, the perfect backdrop and atmosphere for railway shots was created. The cameo's set up by the TLE team were thoughtful and considered and the team ensured each photographer got the shot they were after.  Fellow photographers were polite, enthusiastic and willing to share their tips and techniques.  I really enjoyed the event and have already booked up for several more in the near future!

This was my first time at a TLE event, I was very impressed by the organisation of the TLE team and the effort and patience of the 
re-enactors, I came away with some really nice photo's.

My experience of the event RAF Launch HSL102 - Portsmouth Historic Dockyard - 2nd July 2019 was electrifying. To see this speed machine at close quarters in action was amazing. To read up on it's history made the experience even more rewarding. The photographic opportunities to capture it's speed and versatility while maneuvering at very close range was exhilarating. I Very much enjoyed my day on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway on March 28th photographing 'Hercules'. As a disabled person it was easy to access the railway and the other participants were both helpful and friendly, as were those in charge of the event.I am limited to what I can do but I came away happy with some images I was really happy with. I've attended six TLE events so far this year and have got four more arranged for the rest of 2017. On every one I've come away with fantastic images as a result of the superb locations, subjects, re-enactors and organisation by Neil and the rest of the TLE crew.  Almost certainly, places like RAF Cosford, or subjects like USS George HW Bush or HMS Queen Elizabeth would be difficult or impossible to photograph close up without TimeLine Events!

I have attended two recent events, Birds of Prey and Cold War Jets at Bruntingthorpe. The Birds of Prey event was excellent despite  the lack lustre weather. Neil and the falconers maximised opportunities for us photographers to get our shots with the minimum of fuss. It was a full day of shooting with an excellent lunch. It was my first aircraft event at Bruntingthorpe again the weather did not play ball with a decent sunset. The TimeLine Events team and the Buccanneer Team members did their best to maximise the potential shots acheived by staging senarios with re-enactors, providing lighting, advice and gentle marshalling of us photographers. I acheived the shots I wanted, met some similarly inclined people and had a good time. In summary both events were in my view highly sucessfull and am looking forward to events I have booked in the coming months.
