I recently attended my first TimeLine Event at Didcot, having just joined as a TLE member  - Winter in the shed - what a great experience! Merging together my passion for social history and photography I was really looking forward to the event - and I wasn't disappointed! The venue was brilliant - old, authentic and atmospheric - even more so due to the smoke machines and steam from the trains.  Together, with professional, flexible, approachable and adaptable re-enactors, the perfect backdrop and atmosphere for railway shots was created. The cameo's set up by the TLE team were thoughtful and considered and the team ensured each photographer got the shot they were after.  Fellow photographers were polite, enthusiastic and willing to share their tips and techniques.  I really enjoyed the event and have already booked up for several more in the near future!

Just a short note to say how much I enjoyed the above. This was my first TimeLine Event, and I shall definitely be back to do some more. The re-enactors really suit the environment in which they belong and I thought the smoke machines really added to the atmosphere! Thanks again!

Newbury Park Bus Run was for me an adventure into the passion for busses other appreciate so dearly. The busses used were in spectacular condition. The organisation and coordination of the event was in my mind no easy task, well done TLE. For all said and done the event gave me a once in a lifetime opportunity to capture images only imaginable of an era not seen since my childhood and my experiences of the big old Red London busses. My experience of the event RAF Launch HSL102 - Portsmouth Historic Dockyard - 2nd July 2019 was electrifying. To see this speed machine at close quarters in action was amazing. To read up on it's history made the experience even more rewarding. The photographic opportunities to capture it's speed and versatility while maneuvering at very close range was exhilarating. I recently attended the photoshoot of Jaguars and Tornado's at RAF Cosford, on both evenings and came away with some very pleasing results. Each evening was different and Neil and the team were fantastic in the way they set up photoshoots with the enactors. The lighting effects in the hanger were really cool. I particularly liked the red, white and blue, illuminating a Jaguar. The enactors worked extremely hard on both days. There was even an excellent evening meal provided. Thank you to everyone who helped set this up.

I have now attended two timeline events one at RAF Cosford and more recently the Cowes Sailing Regatta. Both have been superbly organised, offering a unique perspective on the chosen subjects. I was initially reticent based on price, but after attending these two events, I will be booking others! I have taken by best ever photographs on these days, not only this I have also enjoyed the days out. In fact ththe cowes day would have been fantastic even without taking a picture! Throughly recommend!
