About this event

Join us in the Autumn for a photography landscape trip with Somerset resident photographer Don Bishop. We are pleased to offer this fantastic landscape photography workshop, spread out over 3 days to offer you 2 dawns and 3 sunsets as well as plenty in-between to capture the Autumn colours and scenes. This is the perfect opportunity to really hone your skills in landscape photography by getting expert advice in some fantastic locations both of coastlines and inland. The costs of the course includes private double room en-suite hotel accommodation just outside of Glastonbury with breakfasts each morning.

Somerset has a great variation of landscapes, with rolling hills, heritage landmarks and nearby coastlines this will offer wonderful photography opportunities. Planned locations to visit will include areas like Glastonbury Tor, Burrow Mump, Somerset Levels, Cheddar Gorge, Clevedon Pier, Burnham-on-sea & Ashton Windmill to name a few. Our aim is to give you the best tips and advice to achieve stunning and eye catching landscape photographs by taking you to some of the best locations on offer in this area, and closely following the best weather for each location. Professional landscape photographer Don Bishop will be guiding you through camera settings, composition and also post processing techniques to bring out the best in your images. He will be sharing his experience and knowledge of this wonderful subject with the aim of having you coming home with images that you are truly proud of, with plenty of one on one time throughout the course. Emily Mudie will also be on hand to assist throughout the course.

Don lives in Somerset and is very familiar with the locations, and we have chosen this time of year for the best chance to have Autumn colours on the trees. This time of year also has the added benefit of sunrise being just after 7am so we can have a comfortable departure time each morning and after sunset we usually enjoy and evening meal together as a group.

We plan to car share for this course and both Don & Emily will be drivers who you can travel with, we will also require one more willing volunteer driver to carry 2 or 3 passengers who will be re-imbursed for petrol.

His images are frequently published in magazines and he loves sharing his passion of photography and helping others improve their skills by offering expert tuition.
