About this event

Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, Andover’s Hawk Conservancy has over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects.

Our day will centre around the British Birds at the Conservency and will include flying demonstrations, close up opportunities and time in the centre’s hides. We will have our own dedicated falconers on hand to engage and explain each bird to us and indeed put the birds through their paces on our behalf.

Starting at around 09.30 with a short introduction we will then get straight out into one of the arenas and start our photography, breaking for an all inclusive lunch at around 12.30. After lunch we will enjoy the public flying demonstration before enjoying further flying from our dedicated falconers. Finishing at approximately 17.00.

This event is limited to 20 photographers.

An average day will see you take around 1000 plus images!

Photography can be very rewarding and difficult all at the same time and this will really push the boudries of both of those statements.

Event cost £90.00 per person, includes a Buffet Lunch, tea and coffees.
