About this event
You've been to the Black Country Museum and done STEAM, well nows your chance to put the two very different events together and join us at Milestones!
Come with us as we take you on a journey back to the 1940's era in this fantastic museum! With exclusive access to the re-created Victorian street complex and railway station entrance along with its cobbled entrance, this promises to be a fantastic evening of photography. Our professional and convincing re-enactors will dress the part and act out various scenes from the times for you to capture! With such a wide variety of buildings and vehicles these streets will offer endless photography opportunities with something new around every corner!
As this event takes place in the evening we will be able to take advantage of the streetlights and our own lighting, plus a little trickery to create dramatic and high impact imagery of the re-enactors and streets. The atmosphere will work perfectly to represent the scenes from this wonderful era. Our evening will begin at 17:00 and finish up around 21:30.
The Milestones Museum is an all-weather tourist attraction containing a network of streets modeled on those originally found in Victorian and 1930s Hampshire. Opened in 2000, the museum houses a huge collection of road vehicles, including the iconic trucks made by Thornycroft, one of Englandís most notable manufacturers. Among the siteís popular building recreations are Victorian public houses, railway stations, interactive penny arcade, toy shops, and a television store, which includes original equipment.
We hope that the combination of a superb venue and such an excellent group of re-enactors will be doubly appealing and we look forward to seeing you at the Milestones museum in January.
Maximum participants will be 30 to make shooting more comfortable but with such a large area and so many locations we are confident there will be lots of space to work.
