About this event

This hands on course in conjunction with Nikon School is designed to get you confident with using your Nikon camera to its full potential. We will explore in depth the cameras advanced features, menu systems and give you the very best tips and tricks to get you shooting like a pro. As well as getting you to know your camera better, we will also be exploring creative techniques and approaches to help you improve your overall photography. We believe there is no better way to learn than to do, so this course will be jam packed full of practical’s to ensure that you are putting into practise what you have learned. Barrow Hill Roundhouse and museum offers plenty of interest and there will be lots for you to photograph and practise your skills on. Throughout the day everyone is encouraged to ask questions and if there is any specific are of your camera you need more help with your tutor will be very happy to assist you.

Your Tutor for the day is David Robbins. With a love of photography that spans 30 years David developed his passion into a career. Beginning in photo retail before starting his own photography business he has always enjoyed the more technical challenges of photography. His love of sharing knowledge led to him teaching photography first to teenagers before moving to Practical Photography magazine and then to Nikon UK. His technical approach suited working closely with working with many professionals and organisations who depend on photography. From press and sports photographers to scenes of crime officers and the Ministry of Defence. David has specialised in teaching photographic technics and showing non-professional photographers how to get the best from their camera. 



The day will start at 10:30 and finish at 16:00.

Lunch is not included but there is an onsite cafe where you can purchase food and refreshements.

*This course is being run in conjunction with Nikon School to help provide training outside of the London area for Nikon users.
