About this event
We are pleased to offer another fantastic opportunity to photograph Didcot Railway Centre's brand new engine Lady of Legend 2999 in and around the shed front and after dark inside. To compliment this her we will be adding a mix of appropriate GWR liveried locos. One of these being the beautifully restored 5900 Hinderton Hall, her and others will be bought back to life with the aid of our famous smoke machines. What could be better than a late Spring evening spent in the presence of these icons in the most original Steam Shed in the UK photographing a fantastic array of Great Western power.
2999 Lady of Legend made her debut at the Centre during 2019 and is now set to take centre stage again in the late Spring of 2020 recreating those scenes of the past when steam locos were prepared on sheds up and down the land. After dark we will be posing the locos under our lights outside shed before retreating inside for the now famous scenes made even more special by a selection of our band of hard working Re-Enactors.
Our evening will start at 18.00 and with the exception of a short break to grab some food in the on site cafe we will be shooting until 22.30. Lady of Legend will be in steam all evening giving us many different opportunities as we move her around the site, finishing under the Coal Stage with the now famous disposal shots and throwing of the fire.
We expect this event to be popular so advise early booking.
