About this event

It is with massive pride that we are able to bring you the second of two visits in late January to RAF Scampton, the home of the Red Arrows display team. Our visit will see us arriving at lunchtime and be in position for photography ahead of the team walking out to their Jets. The plan is for their to be two practice sorties during our visit, the first being the Synco Pairs followed by Enid and possibly even Gypo depending on how practice is going, so at least 7 jets flying for us. This will also mean we will experience the team taxiing in formation past us, a line up of jets on the Apron and an opportunity to talk to some of the team and engineers. Once the afternoon flying activities are complete we will have one Jet positioned for photography which will include some human interest and an opportunity for close up images.

In addition to the above we will also have access to the Heritage Centre, not normally open to the public where there is a Gnat and an older Hawk amongst other things for you to photograph. This being our first event with the Reds we are working to a plan that they are comfortable with and it is hoped that this visit will lead on to more visits in the future with some additions being added. That said we do feel this is an incredible opportunity for any aircraft enthusiast and one that will sell very well while also supporting the Jon Egging Trust (JET), a charity we have worked with now for a number of years raising money for under privileged children to be given opportunities they would not normally be able to experience.

All flying is subject to weather and is done within the confines of the Airfield, our position has been chosen to put us pretty well in the centre of the action. Some of you attending you may wish to arrive earlier in the day to experience the morning sorties which start around 09.00. Obviously this would be from a safe public space outside the fence as our access to the Base will not be until lunchtime.

We expect tickets to sell pretty fast but before you book your place please ensure you will be able to provide a PHOTO ID on the day. This is standard procedure when visiting a military establishment n the UK. No ID no admittance.

This is going to be a great start to 2020 and we look forward to seeing many of our regulars and indeed some new friends in Lincolnshire in January 2020.
