About this event

Set in 22 acres of beutiful woodland and wildflower meadow, Andover’s Hawk Conservancy has over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects.

Our day will centre around the British Birds at the Conservency and will include flying demonstrations, close up opportunities and falconry. We will have our own dedicated falconers on hand to engage and explain each bird to us and indeed put the birds through their paces on our behalf.

Starting at around 09.30 with a short introduction we will then get straight out into one of the arenas and start our photography, breaking for an all inclusive lunch at around 12.30. After lunch we will enjoy the public flying demonstration before enjoying further flying from our dedicated falconers. Finishing at approximately 16.30.

This event is limited to 20 photographers to ensure plenty of space.

An average day will see you take around 1000 plus images!

Photography can be very rewarding and difficult all at the same time and this will really push the boudries of both of those statements, giving you the opportunity to capture wonderful images of the birds in a natural setting.

Price includes a buffet lunch and unlimited tea and coffees.

Currently all of our events will run in line with our Covid-19 policy that follows government guidelines. You can find our Covid-19 policy information page here.
