About this event
Join us in the summer of 2021 as we take you on a unique re-enactment journey back to WW1 with British foot soldiers and horses complete with professional stunt riders. We will be recreating authentic and atmospheric scenes that mirror those that would have been seen during the conflict of the first world war. Our main focus will be photographing eye catching portraits and riding action shots in a natural setting at the Steamhorse show centre.
Steamhorse is an equestrian entertainment and show company that consists of a dedicated team of professional riders, stunt men, fighters and circus performers that have a multitude of credits to their names... including film and TV work such as Mary Queen of Scots, Vanity Fayre and Game of Thrones. For our WW1 session we will have 3 horses with 3 riders, plus 3 soldiers on foot so there will be plenty of photography opportunities throughout the morning to capture different scenes and portraits. The added interest of the horses will really offer a great photography experience and put your photography skills to the test with plenty of action! The event timings are 10:00 - 12:30.
On this day we are running 2 different historic session, a morning of WW1 and in the afternoon we will be running a session with medieval knights. If you would like to book for both of the sessions, we would like to offer you a 10% discount, so please drop us an email if you want to book for the full day and we will send you a discount code to use when booking. Both of these sessions will be limited to a small group of photographers with 3 horses and riders as well as re-enactors on foot.
Currently all of our events will run in line with our Covid-19 policy that follows government guidelines. You can find our Covid-19 policy information page here.
Taking place entirely outside over spacious grounds spanning several acres this event will run with social distancing and the models and group will be spread out over different locations. The photographers will be limited to 20.
