About this event
Join us this summer for a relaxed and fun day of photography surrounded by the wonderful and historic site of Didcot Railway Centre. We will have a host of historic re-enactors placed around the site plus a fire eater who will be performing for our cameras to create dramatic imagery! We will be spoilt for choice by the backdrops of this wonderful location and the site will allow for social distancing measures to be followed at all times. This will be a day of variety with the opportunity to take a whole range of eye catching imagery!
With our re-enactors we will be setting up a variety of different scenes and also encourage participants to set up their own cameos. With such a vast site to cover we feel this event will offer a very relaxed environment to work in and plenty of time to be creative. We will not be officially using the inside of the shed for our event but participants are welcome to photograph inside if they wish. We are limiting the afternoon to 25 photographers to ensure comfortable surroundings and social distancing so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment, given how popular previous events at the Centre have been.
Due to the current situation it is likely that the on site cafe will be closed so you may need to bring your own provisions but we will let everyone know the status of this before the day. Timings are 13:30-18:00.
We are not enforcing the use of face masks and gloves on our events but would encourage anyone who would like to wear them to do so. We recommend that you do bring a small bottle of hand sanitiser and follow the government guidelines at all times. Our aim is to create a photography experience that is both safe and enjoyable and will have you coming home with great photographs and memories.
