About this event
Due to the success of our recent 1940's photowalk, we are returning to the 1940's once again! Set in the historic back streets around the London Spitafields area we will take you on a guided walk that will transport you back in time. We are delighted to have with us once again the wonderful and iconic black marketeer: Viv the Spiv, as well as a 1940's police officer and 2 smart civilians (male and female). We will be setting up eye catching scenes to recreate those atmospheric evenings under the streetlights of London. These alleys are the perfect place for shady dealings, the walking ground of the Spiv who never misses a tick when it comes to underhand business. But he had better be on his guard as there is a copper on the beat who wont be too pleased to see him!
This promises to be a unique and fun evening of photography with the possibility of being persuaded into buying black market goods from our Spiv who will remain in jovial character for most of the evening! Viv has performed for various shows and occasions including appearing on stage at the London Palladium performing for the Queen as part of Dame Vera Lynnís 100th birthday celebrations. He has also featured in films including The Imitation Game.
We will meet outside London Liverpool Street station (exact location will be confirmed), at 18:30 for a brief and welcome, and then we will commence the tour, finishing up at around 21:30 nearby to Liverpool Street station.
This event will be limited to a small group of photographers and we will have 4 re-enactors (pictured above) available for you to photograph. Please note the locations in the images are for illustration purposes only. We are also planning on having a security guard accompany us to help ensure everyones safety.
This event will run outside and with social distancing. Currently all of our events will run in line with our Covid-19 policy that follows government guidelines. You can find our Covid-19 policy information page here.
