About this eventWe are pleased to present this day of model portraiture at Abbey Pumping house in the spring. With excellent access to the site we will be setting up eye catching and unique scenes with 2 beautiful and professional models. We will also be able to take advantage of the evening light running through sunset for the golden hour with 1 hour after dark for atmospheric images when we bring in our lighting. This day promises plenty of variety for outfits, lighting and shooting locations and TimeLine Staff will be on hand to offer tips and advice.
The Abbey Pumping Station opened in 1891 to pump Leicester's sewage to new treatment works in Beaumont Leys. The ornate building and beautifully-decorated beam engines demonstrated the great civic pride in this public health achievement. It closed in 1964 and opened as a museum of science and industry ten years later. The Pump House is an excellent example of beautiful Victorian engineering, full of detail and wonderful historic backdrops which will spoil you for choice! As well as photographing inside the building we will have use of the grounds and hope to have a vintage vehicle available as a prop.
The timings for this event are 14:30 - 19:30 giving us daylight, sunset, dusk and a little bit of after dark!
We hope you will want to join us for what promises to be a great day in a wonderful location.
