About this event

Professional photography trainer Clive Greenland will be leading this practical day and will be teaching you the best settings and techniques for Macro photography. This day promises to offer the perfect combination of training combined with field experience to boost your confidence and skills! Are you struggling to get your macro images sharp? On this course we aim to give you the technique and skills that you need to make the most out of your camera when capturing macro wildlife. The location is Lower Moor Farm nature reserve with 126.18 hectares of land rich in wildlife.

Tutorials will include the best settings to capture dragonflies, damselflies and a range of insects. The nature reserve has a lot more to offer including wild birds such as cormorants and great crested grebe, to name a few.

The reserve has an assortment of lakes, brooks, ponds and wetland scrapes connected together by boardwalks, with ancient hedges and woodland. Mallard Lake is a Site of Special Scientific Interest with its distinctive aquatic plants.

This unique event is limited to just 12 places with good facilities and toilets on site and level access to the nature reserve. A dedicated training video by Clive will also be available and sent out to all attendees to watch before the day which will give in depth details about techniques and settings to help set you up before the day.

Start time is 10:00, finishing up at 15:30, we will break at around 12.30 for lunch. There is an on site cafe or you can bring your own food.

Photography can be very rewarding and difficult all at the same time and this event will really push the boundaries of what can be achieved with macro photography. There will also be ample space on this event for social distancing as it all takes place outside.

This event has limited spaces and we expect tickets to sell fast for this unique experience so urge early booking to avoid disappointment! £10 from each ticket sale will be donated to the nature reserve and will be put towards the preservation
