About this event

Come visit Britain’s smallest National Park – Exmoor, with your camera to capture the full autumn colours displayed in this varied landscape. Exmoor is renowned for its rolling countryside, deep valleys and coastal cliffs. Award winning professional landscape photographer Don Bishop, who knows Exmoor well, will guide you around this wonderful landscape to obtain some great autumnal images. Locations expected to be included are Tarr Steps, Landacre Bridge, Robbers Bridge, Stoke Pero, Hurlestone Point, Selworthy and Dunkery area or a selection of them depending on the weather conditions on the day as which ones are best.

Bring your camera and lenses, filters and a sturdy tripod to maximise the opportunities available as you’ll be able to capture burbling brooks and streams with the water tumbling over rocks surrounded by autumn colours using techniques that Don will explain.

The day will start at 08:00 in Minehead by heading out to our first location for some early light and covering 2/3 locations including a short refreshment break in the morning before we take a lunch break in a local pub/café and then continue into the afternoon through until sunset at around 17:00. We will be running 2 consecutive days (2nd and 3rd November), both visiting different locations and for those requiring overnight accommodation Don will use a local hotel for B&B and dinner and you can stay over with us and do both days if you wish to maximise your opportunities. We plan to car share and will have 2 cars available to give lifts (depending on the situation and what people are comfortable with we may also ask a volunteer driver to take a passenger who will be re-imbursed for petrol).

This really is a great time of year to visit Exmoor with ample photography opportunities.
