About this event

Following on from our previous events with Just Jane we are extremely pleased to be bringing you another opportunity to capture Lancaster Bomber Just Jane during a private photographic event at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, East Kirkby.

Join us this summer as we take you back to an RAF air base during WWII. The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre provides the perfect backdrop with its authentic backdrops, buildings, vehicles and of course the Lancaster Just Jane. Join us as we set cameos for your photography around the original Control Tower, Ops Room and Bunk House (inside and outside), we will have the use of vehicles such as the fuel bowser, crew bus, bomb trolleys & a RAF motorbike.

In addition to all this we will also be setting scenes that include Just Jane the Lancaster Bomber, which will also be taxiing for us on the grass enabling you to get some fantastic moving images of this iconic aircraft unhindered. There will be a main focus on the people throughout the event and we will have a host of convincing re-enactors in RAF outfits, re-enacting scenes that one would have seen on a 1940s air base.

This promises to be an enjoyable afternoon & early evening of period photography, with the opportunity for close up portraiture as well as wide-angle scenes.

We are also offering a small number of tickets to travel in Just Jane while she does her taxi in front of the group. Please follow the link below to book your place.

The ticket price is slightly higher than usual as we are running this with a smaller group of photographers and to cover the cost of the museum and vehicle hire as well as the re-enactors. Included in the ticket price is the opportunity to visit the museum during the day at their normal opening hours.

Our event will start at 17.30 with cameo scenes reminiscent of a Lincolnshire Airfield in the 1940’s; we will experience the Lancaster fire up her 4 Merlin Engines and taxi out on to the grass around 19.00 after which we will use her for a variety of scenes ahead of our evening concluding just after sunset.

We are also offering a seperate ticket to include this event and a Taxi ride. We only have 6 places available for a ride in the Lancaster for the Taxi run so if you would like to have this included book the full event and taxi ride here.
