About this event

        We are pleased to be able to offer a full day of steam photography using two classic Great Western locomotives in British Railways livery, both double-headed and later with one turned to allow passing shots on the only preserved section of double-track main line in the country. 



































No.7828 Odney Manor is paying a short working visit to the GCR for the Autumn Gala and we can offer the locomotive paired with the Railway’s resident Hall Class No.6990 Witherslack Hall double-headed on a rake of around 8 mk1 coaches facing south in the morning. At lunchtime, one loco will be turned at Quorn and in the afternoon we will use the Hall facing north on the railways wonderful and period correct train of vans for passing shots with the Manor on passenger stock facing south at both Swithland and Kinchley Lane. This combination will look very accurate at Swithland with the wonderful array of Western Region Signals.












	
	
	
	
	
	
	
	
	










Currently we expect our day to begin at Quorn at 07:30. Finish time will be circa 18.00. Lunchtime we will return to Quorn where the cafe will be open for hot and cold food along with snacks and drinks.
