ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Our bus trip on Wednesday 9th August now has a little surprise added to it (in fact, not such a little surprise!) as courtesy of the owner and drivers, we now have a second equally attractive vehicle joining us for the day in addition to our expected attractions. This will be an AEC Regal half-cab single-decker of 1954 vintage in stunning York Pullman livery. It is rare to get one vehicle of such quality for a photo shoot, so to get a second is quite 'something' and with neither vehicle expected out on the road next year, we won't have another chance with them for some time. The Burlingham coach has also had its paintwork smartened up and now looks better than ever. With some extremely photogenic Warwickshire villages on our schedule for the day, this promises to be quite a special event so why not join us to capture images of two classic half-cab single deckers in beautiful rural settings.

We are pleased to be able to offer a day of photography with another superb half-cab vehicle which we will take around some of the quieter and more picturesque villages in the South Midlands.

Our vehicle will be an AEC Regal III with a Burlingham body. The vehicle was delivered new to Burnhams Coaches of Bromyard and Worcester in 1948. Although it has appeared in several liveries since then, it currently carries the original light beige livery which it carried at the start of its career. It was purchased by the Purvis brothers and restored in Sunderland in the early 1980s. More recently it was with Quantock Heritage and is now privately preserved in the West Midlands.

We have chosen Warwickshire as the venue for this charter as the locations will really suit this superbly-restored 1940s vehicle, using some of the places we visited in August 2016 on our successful Stratford Blue tour plus a few new locations. Main pick-up point will be confirmed nearer the time but is expected to be in Solihull near the top of the M40 motorway with parking. We will also have a second informal pick-up point further south near Gaydon village for those who prefer to join us there. A lunch stop will be scheduled to ensure that driver, re-enactors and photographers are suitably refreshed during the day.

Places will be limited to ensure comfortable conditions for travel and photography and we hope you will wish to join us for a relaxed and enjoyable day out with some excellent photographic opportunities thrown in for good measure.

Event cost £45.00 per person.
