About this event

TimeLine Events are pleased to bring you another first and finally a return to Scotland for us. This time we are travelling to one of the furthest points north for our photography. A day of two halves that will see us start our day hosted by Typhoon II(AC) Sqn followed by an afternoon with the visiting nations airframes that will be going about their business during the first Exercise Joint Warrior of 2018.

Our day will start early as we gather for the brief and to be escorted by coach to the heart of the action where we will start to experience all the sights and sounds of one of Britain Typhoon Squadrons as they go about there day to day business getting the fighters into a state of readiness for flight. Come with us to experience these very rarely seen scenes, come with us to experience the noise as the jets leave there HAS areas and taxi out to the runway. This in its self will be worth the trip let alone what the afternoon has in store for us.

After we have had our fill of Typhoon action there will be a lunch break in the combined mess, and whats more this is included in your ticket price.

Then it’s back to the action; we will transit to the opposite side of the airfield to catch up with the visitors. At this stage we are expecting a good helping of different airframes to keep us busy, like the Typhoon action earlier in the day these will also be seen going about there business, this will include some coming, some going, some on the stand being prepared for flight, Take offs and landings. As you would expect these operations are closely guarded secrets so it is impossible for us to confirm exactly what to expect on the day but we are assured of plenty of rare action that will keep us busy with our cameras all afternoon.

We have been told that the visiting airframes include –

1x CAN CP-130

1x FRA Atlantique

1x GER P-3

1x NOR P-3

1x USN P-8

2x USN MH-60

As you can imagine getting fairly unrestricted access to one of the UK’s busiest operating Bases is not an easy task, so to ensure we have a great day and meet everyone’s expectations, including your own we have a number of points we must highlight to you now before you book your place on this very rare opportunity. We think you will agree that all of these points are good common sense and will not distract from our enjoyment of the day overall.

Only take photographs of what you have been directed too.

Personal security (Ground & Air Crew) – Only take photographs of personnel that have given their permission.

Photographs taken are not to be used to make money.

Health & Safety – Ear defenders (not ear buds) to be worn while in close proximately of live airframes.

Yellow high vis vests to be worn at all times.

Follow all instructions given by RAF Personnel and or a representative of TimeLine Events.

Be aware of dropping litter and other objects at all times, FOD is a danger to all aircraft and personnel.

This is a very rare opportunity that we feel many of you will not want to miss, and with only 50 tickets per day available we recommend booking early, couple to this a cut off date of 16th of April we don’t expect tickets to hang around.

Timings will be confirmed nearer the date of the event but expect 07.30 – 18.00 as a guide.

All profits are going to towards enhancing RAF 100 events throughout the year.

Just in case you are wondering how to get to Lossie, flights from London Gatwick with Easyjet to Aberdeen are available for as little as £27.00 each way. From Aberdeen Lossiemouth is an hour by hire car.

Please note all attendees must be able to provide Photo ID at the point of access on to the base.

So come with us on another voyage of discovery, this time in Scotland!

Event cost £75.00 per person.
