About this event

It's becoming an annual affair, TimeLine taking a couple of London Buses on to the streets of the Capital after dark, but this time we take it to the next level. This time we are taking three buses into town for the first stage of our event and will be joined by at least another 3 buses at our final destination - Newbury Park.

Just imagine how good this image will look filled with even more period London Buses...

The best part of these shoots is getting those street scenes in London during the evening with little or no traffic, so going into London over night is the best way to ensure this and to get shots at Newbury Park will require us arriving there circa midnight so we are expecting a great overnight experience with plenty of action. That said we will be leaving our start and finish location, Brooklands Bus Museum at around 17.30 as this ensures we get into Central London for 19.00 to allow us at least 3 locations before heading out to Newbury Park which takes around an hour. We are not expecting to return to Brooklands until around 4.00am so while it will be a long night it will see us taking this kind of shoot to a completely different level.

This event will also see us using another first and a very special bus from the museum, just for this event the museum are Insuring for our benefit RML3, one of the first RM's. As well as RML3 we are bring into use 2 privately owned buses, RTL554 and RM1962, neither are seen out and about very often so we are sure you will agree this is going to be a very special evening. Oh and we mustn't forget our wonderful re-enactors to add that human interest.

While all 3 buses are from different eras of LT the overlap in service was so great that during the late 1950's, 1960's and early 1970's both types would have been regularly seen pounding the streets together. These buses are London icons as famous say Flying Scotsman or Buckingham Palace, RT's were finally withdrawn from service in the mid 1970's with the RM's holding onto their streets well into the 21st Century with two tourist routes operating them to very recently.

Our evening of photography will start at the London Bus Museum, Brookland’s, Weybridge at around 17.30 where we will board RML3 and travel in style to our first destination in the Capital. From here we will take in a few locations before heading out to the iconic and unique location of Newbury Park for a further couple of hours of photography before returning to Brooklands.

Anyone wishing to join us in London rather than Brooklands is free to do so, most likely at Parliament Square but please understand we will not be returning afterwards to drop you back.

PLEASE NOTE PLACES ON THIS EVENT WILL BE RESTRICTED TO 25.
