About this event

Join us for this Fujifilm training and test day where representatives from Fuji will be bringing along a range of the latest cameras and a large selection of their current lenses! You will be able to try out the kit free of charge and get expert advice from Fujifilm staff! Professional photography trainer Mark Higgins will also be leading this day, and will be teaching you the best settings and techniques to achieve sharp and stunning wildlife images! This day promises to offer the perfect combination of theory and on the field experience to boost your confidence and skills!

Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, Andoverís Hawk Conservancy has over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. This is the perfect place to test out some of the impressive Fujifilm kit that will be on offer for the whole day!

Our photography will centre around the British Birds at the Conservancy and will include flying demonstrations, close up opportunities and time in the centreís hides. We will have our own dedicated falconers on hand to engage and explain each bird to us and indeed put the birds through their paces on our behalf. Not only will you be able to capture these beautiful birds in flight, but you will also get the chance to capture statics and get really up close and personal with the birds!

Starting at around 09.30 we will begin with a short introduction from Timeline and Fujifilm, Then Mark Higgins will be leading a session on discussing how to best capture moving birds and wildlife.  We will then get out onto the field and start our bird photography, breaking for an all inclusive lunch at around 12.30. After lunch we will enjoy the public flying demonstration before heading back to the classroom to recap on what has been learned, and then we will go out again to enjoy further flying from our dedicated falconers. Finishing at approximately 17.00.

This event is limited to 25 photographers.

An average day will see you take around 1000 plus images!

Photography can be very rewarding and difficult all at the same time and this will really push the boundaries of both of those statements. With the chance to use Fujifilm cameras and lenses and get expert advice on kit this is the perfect day for any photography enthusiast!

Price includes a buffet lunch, tea and coffees, photography training and the use of Fujifilm gear!
