About this event

Fashion and beauty meets aviation in the spring at Bicester Heritage for a session of fun, posing and history at the airfield. This event will take place outside on the aerodrome with an Art Deco Tiger Moth painted in 1935 'Brooklands' colour scheme and a Toger Moth painted in camouflage with authentic backdrops. Our models will be dressed in a variety of vintage and pin up style clothing including one Art Deco themed 1920's model. The 'pin ups' were a classic style of post war photography, and are a style that have stood the test of time. Art Deco is also a wonderful subject to get creative with. What better location than an airfield full of history and vintage aircraft for our models to pose against? This event aims to push the boundaries of your photography and creativity, giving you the opportunity to come home with unique and eye catching imagery.

The Aircraft: 1930's de Havilland Tiger Moth and Tiger Moth- G-OOSY
Tiger Moths first flew in 1931, with G-OOSY being built in 1943 at Morris Motors of Cowley. Following periods of storage at RAF Wroughton and RAF Llandow, she was flown to Romorantin in April 1946 to join the French Air Force.  She is currently in green and dark earth camo, representing the early second world war period. The de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth is a 1930s British biplane designed by Geoffrey de Havilland and built by the de Havilland Aircraft Company. It was operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF) and other operators as a primary trainer aircraft. Painted in the 'Brooklands' colour scheme she is perfectly fitted to the authentic Art Deco theme.

This event is limited to a small group of photographers. There is no food on site so please bring your own provisions. There are on site toilets and on site parking.
