About this event

Starting from The Valley (Evesham Country Park), Worcestershire, this event now features two double-decker Bristol buses from the 1950s. This is due to short-term mechanical problems with one of the C1 coaches originally scheduled. We are extremely fortunate to have been able to secure two beautiful vehicles as short notice replacements and we are very grateful to the owner for making this possible.

LTA 813 (in green) is a KS5G which entered service with the Western National Omnibus Company in 1950 and remained in service for twenty years until withdrawal in 1970. After passing through a number of private owners, it was purchased by Roger Burdett in 1997 and is in Immaculate condition.

HWV 294 (in red) is a KSW5G lowbridge double-decker which entered service with Wilts and Dorset Motor Services Limited in 1952. It was in full service until 1970 and used privately as an events vehicle until 1980. It is now also owned by Roger Burdett and has been beautifully restored internally, externally and mechanically.

For those awaiting news of the C1s, both will definitely be back on the road very soon (within the next month) and we intend to arrange a new date as soon as we can. For those who booked for the initial event, we will be in touch to confirm the new date once it has been agreed.
