About this event

We are honored and extremely pleased to bring you another opportunity at RAF Cosford, an afternoon and evening of exclusive photography with ex frontline Harriers and Jaguars of the RAF. With special thanks to the RAF we are able to offer an opportunity to capture these wonderful aircraft that are still kept in tip top condition in and around their hangars at RAF Cosford.

For this event we are proud to say that all profits will be going to the Jon Egging Trust.

The Jaguars being ground-attack aircraft which was the result of a major UK/France collaborative programme, which followed agreement of a joint Anglo- French requirement in 1965. Entering active service at the height of the Coldwar these versatile aircraft saw active service around the world during their time as the RAF’s main attack aircraft. The Jaguar’s went on to replace the RAF’s Phantom aircraft and in 2003 celebrated 30 years of service. The Jaguars would then carry on in active service for another 4 years before ultimately being replaced by the Eurofighter Typhoon. Rather than sell off or scrap these iconic aircraft the RAF moved around 100 of them to RAF Cosford where they have successfully continued to play a major part in supporting RAF’s second to none training and engineering programmes.

Our evening will see around 10 airframes participate in our shoot, these will include three Harriers, all different, Artic Camo, Grey and VAAC (red, white & blue) XW175. These will be complimented by a number of Cosford's Jaguars, these will include at least two GR1's in Camouflaged, the Dessert Storm Jag, Spotty and the Boscombe Down red, white and blue Jag, which we intend to position with the Harrier carrying the same livery. To finish off the line up there will be a number of grey Jags positioned around the shooting area.

Our session at RAF Cosford will start around 16.00 allowing us to be in place and ready for sunset. Then as the sun sets we will be turning on our lights and adding further dimensions to the shoot with the addition of personnel, ground equipment and one or two other surprises to keep you shooting into the evening. This visit will see us take up camp in a different area to the last two visits, this time we will be in the DOTA (Deployed Operational Training Area) at the far end of the site where the Harriers used to operate from in years gone by. As a major part of these aircraft's role is now supporting the RAF’s Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering we will include some cameo’s inside one of the vast hangars at RAF Cosford adding further to this unique opportunity.

Please note all images shown in this advertisement are to demonstrate opportunities and show some of the airframes we will have at our disposal and is not the full extent of what is possible on this shoot. The event is planned to start at around 16.00 and finish at 21.30, allowing plenty of twilight opportunities.

We expect these shoots to be very popular, especially as 2016 marked the end of ground running for the Jaguar fleet at RAF Cosford so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

There will be food and drinks available throughout the evening thanks to the RAF’s airside catering team.

Event cost £65.00 per person.
