My first event with Timeline Events was at North Weald Airfield for the Hanger 11 night shoot. A tremendous experience to get up close with the Spitfire and Kittyhawk when they ran up their engines and I am really happy with the images I got. Looking forward now to something different and the Thames Barge races in June.

I had my first experience with Timeline Events on Monday 28th August at Didcot Railway Centre with two giants - 60103 Flying Scotsman & 60009 Union Of South Africa. First to be able to photograph there two locos together is a dream come true and Timeline Events made this happen. I found the hole experience a fantastic and enjoyable one with lots and lots of wonderful photos to cherish. I've even had one made into a jigsaw puzzle. They provide fantastic backdrops and reenactors to the events which makes the hole theme come to life. I met some lovely people there as well. I recommend anyone who is interested in photography should experience these wonderful events, well worth the money and I can't wait to do another one - don't tell the wife though!

Fengate Farm Weeting 02-10-2019: The weather could not have been better, Sony turned up with cameras & lenses, WEX sponsored Sony, TLE used it's charm and organisational expertise to organise a fantastic day on the farm. The Farm & land army girls along with the steam machine men were outstanding, putting on a fabulous show for us. Breakfast & Lunch were available. The bottom line will be the quality of the images captured. I hope people will post the good ones. I used a AR7III + FF 24-105 f4 lens supplied by Sony plus my own Olympus EM1-X + a 100-400 Leica Zoom (FF 200-800). I had the full range 24mm-800mm to work with. All in all test of equipment and skill in near perfect conditions. Top marks on the day for The Fengate Farm Crew, WEX, Sony & TLE. Alan P

My experience of the event RAF Launch HSL102 - Portsmouth Historic Dockyard - 2nd July 2019 was electrifying. To see this speed machine at close quarters in action was amazing. To read up on it's history made the experience even more rewarding. The photographic opportunities to capture it's speed and versatility while maneuvering at very close range was exhilarating. I attended the Location Portrait's Masterclass Workshop on June 6th at the wonderful Edwardian Waterworks at Twyford. Not only a fantastic setting in it's own right, but the workshop was overseen by Pro Ray Lowe who was a great character and gave advice and tips throughout the day. Been on a few Timeline Events workshops and as usual it was extremely well run, on this occasion by Emily. The two models on the day were a pleasure to photograph and as this was my first experience photographing models they made it easy and nothing was too much trouble, Lena especially was great to photograph & work with. Ended the day with what I think are some great shots and thoroughly recommend attending a Timeline Events "Adventure". Colin G

HSL 102/SS Waverley-Needles Event - The weather was changable, the sea calm and the light was simply fantastic. Taking pictures of HSL 102 on her way over to Lymington and then onto The Needles was sublime. As always the boat was skippered to give the photographers the best opportunities to get our pictures. With the Needles backdrop fantastic images were to be had. A sharp rain shower changed the lighting into something very dramatic. We meet up with the Waverley and were able to get pictures of the 2 historic boats togther and then close ups of the Waverely when docked. The icing on the cake for us photographers was the appearance twice of the Coastguard Helicopter on the second time putting a paramedic on board our boat for training purposes. A great day of photography was had by all.
