Fantastic photographic event with a classic 14XX and auto train on the South Devon Railway. The organisation was excellent and the weather superb. The shots of the train along the banks of the beautiful River Dart will be treasured. I was still smiling several days later!

Having thoroughly enjoyed the 'Jaguar and Tornado' night shoot at RAF Cosford in January 2017, I could not miss the latest event at Cosford in which there were also three Harriers present in three very differing marks. Again, a great afternoon and evening event, loads of photo opportunities both inside the hangar and outside, with even an hour of late sunshine to light everything up against a dark sky background. The addition of the sky-lift was a very welcome new feature and all of the TLE and RAF teams did all they could to help, assist and move things about whenever asked, all done with a smile too. A great event and one to which I would  return in the future.

As a regular visitor to East Kirkby and Just Jane, I enjoy the oppressive to take part in TLE. Neil & Alan are brilliant in the way that they are there for all your needs and are very approachable particularly if you need a little technical help. I’ve attended photography events with other operators where re-enactors forget they they are chiefly there for us the customers, but the way that Neil & Alan get the guys and girls to to do repeat walks, or when they hold a certain pose for a few seconds. The banter is also good, and I particularly like the fact that we are all encouraged to be friendly and aware of each and to be polite. I cannot recommend TLE highly enough and look forward to a shoot containing the Mosquito in 2020. Rob Hayton

ProTog event at Didcot 21st Oct. The most fascinating experience I had during the event, were the lighting and smoke setups. Coupled with the tips given by Mark the Pro, it allowed me to extend my understanding of my Olympus camera and lens in low light situations (low & high ISO, tripod & handheld, Colour & B&W). The reenactors gave the evening a real sense of authenticity to the atmosphere of the steam sheds at night.

I Very much enjoyed my day on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway on March 28th photographing 'Hercules'. As a disabled person it was easy to access the railway and the other participants were both helpful and friendly, as were those in charge of the event.I am limited to what I can do but I came away happy with some images I was really happy with. A fantastic well organised event by TLE and the re-enactors. They know how to setup an event, lots of photo opportunities for amateurs and professional, at all levels of experience. Worth the expense and travel to see the Lancaster with the engine run.
