This was my third visit to Weeting and seventh TLE event. Once again it was an excellent event with lots of different set ups and settings including threshing, ploughing, log sawing and transport. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the wonderful re-enactors obliged us with all kind of poses without looking too staged. Neil and his team must be praised for the way they put these events together. This review cannot be complete with mention for the catering staff who served us up wonderful refreshments. Alan P

Fantastic photographic event with a classic 14XX and auto train on the South Devon Railway. The organisation was excellent and the weather superb. The shots of the train along the banks of the beautiful River Dart will be treasured. I was still smiling several days later!

I Very much enjoyed my day on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway on March 28th photographing 'Hercules'. As a disabled person it was easy to access the railway and the other participants were both helpful and friendly, as were those in charge of the event.I am limited to what I can do but I came away happy with some images I was really happy with. I have attended three shoots with TLE at East Kirkby, and all have been expertly run by Neil and the team. Always on hand to accommodate any ideas that we photographers have, Neil and his team also offer photographic advice should we need it. In large groups for such shoots as nighttime engine runs, the team are very good at making sure people move around, allowing everybody to get their shots from different angles. This doesn’t happen with another company I use, and it really makes a difference. Neil and the team are also very good at organising the re-enactors. I enjoy the TLE events and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Attended the recent events to photograpgh High Speed Launch 102 and Motor Gun Boat 81 at Portsmouth. The weather was kind in the morning but the afternoon was less so. The trip was excellent both boats were put through their paces in the Solent with the photographer in mind. There were plenty of opportunities to get close up's as well as the more distant shots. Background for the shots varied from the dockyard, historic Portsmouth, the Solent Forts and white cliffs round the IOW. Took plenty of shots surprisingly many were in focus and very photogenic. The boat trip on Anchorman its self was a great experience, getting wet, losing balance but still managing to take pictures. I think everyone had big smiles on their faces when we returned. Neil and his staff made the day very enjoyable and it ran like clockwork. The volunters running the historic boats were very friendly and did everything we asked. The reenactors added just the right amount of colour. I would highly recommend this event.

HSL 102/SS Waverley-Needles Event - The weather was changable, the sea calm and the light was simply fantastic. Taking pictures of HSL 102 on her way over to Lymington and then onto The Needles was sublime. As always the boat was skippered to give the photographers the best opportunities to get our pictures. With the Needles backdrop fantastic images were to be had. A sharp rain shower changed the lighting into something very dramatic. We meet up with the Waverley and were able to get pictures of the 2 historic boats togther and then close ups of the Waverely when docked. The icing on the cake for us photographers was the appearance twice of the Coastguard Helicopter on the second time putting a paramedic on board our boat for training purposes. A great day of photography was had by all.
