HSL 102/SS Waverley-Needles Event - The weather was changable, the sea calm and the light was simply fantastic. Taking pictures of HSL 102 on her way over to Lymington and then onto The Needles was sublime. As always the boat was skippered to give the photographers the best opportunities to get our pictures. With the Needles backdrop fantastic images were to be had. A sharp rain shower changed the lighting into something very dramatic. We meet up with the Waverley and were able to get pictures of the 2 historic boats togther and then close ups of the Waverely when docked. The icing on the cake for us photographers was the appearance twice of the Coastguard Helicopter on the second time putting a paramedic on board our boat for training purposes. A great day of photography was had by all.

As always the event ran like clockwork, well organised, great fun and terrific models who entered the spirit of the occasion. Many thanks to the team, models and friendly staff from the museum. Good photo opportunity and a lot of fun!

We are both serious armatures looking for images with a difference that will get us acceptances and medals in International Salons, it's why we take advantage of TimeLine Events. Swindon, Basingstoke, Didcot, and down on Farm have all been great opportunities and many acceptances and at least 1 medal. This is all down to Neil and his team of re-enactors that provide the cameos and individual images. The setting up of lights the use of smoke machines and the ability to get your images without having to jostle for position or worry about others getting in the way. These days are not cheap but then what hobby is, and it's a true old saying "you cant take it with you" so we look forward to giving Neil some more of it. I have just attended the Didcot Steam Glamour event. This was my first location shoot with Timeline and I have to say how I was really impressed with the whole operation. The production team (helpful and professional), the models (glamorous, hard working & nothing-too-much-trouble) and the location (what's not to like about a train yard) all made the 3+ hours fly by. Highest recommendation and I'm looking for my next event. A big thanks to Neil and the Crew.

What a wonderful day despite the clouds! Neil Cave looked after us so well. He knew the Hawk Conservancy Trust (HCT) and the staff and was able to position us in ideal positions for photographing the amazing birds. He was also a real pleasure to be with. I will definitely use TimeLine Events again next year and diary permitting return to the HCT in September or October 2016.

South Devon Railway - 1369 on a short freight 03-11-16. This was my seventh TimeLine event in the last couple of years, and over that time, I've come to appreciate that every time, I can book TLE shoots with confidence. Neil and his Team are always very well organised and professional. Importantly, proper regard is given to health & safety issues at all times, and nothing is left to chance. Locations are well researched having regard to the time of day and year, position of sun (sun?!!), etc. About the only thing Neil can't properly organize is the weather, which on the Devon shoot was disappointingly dull, immediately following a few glorious days. But show me a charter organizer who CAN sort the weather! Anyhow, taking great shots in dull weather is simply more of a challenge, and I for one am very pleased with the outcome. So I would recommend TLE shoots to anyone without hesitation, and roll on my next one.
