My experience of the event RAF Launch HSL102 - Portsmouth Historic Dockyard - 2nd July 2019 was electrifying. To see this speed machine at close quarters in action was amazing. To read up on it's history made the experience even more rewarding. The photographic opportunities to capture it's speed and versatility while maneuvering at very close range was exhilarating. Went to the Gulf War Veterans on 14th October at Yorkshire Air Museum and like I knew would happen I wasn't disappointed. Was a great night as always. It was also great that we had the chance to take some photos with the use of smoke machines and different colour lights. Something you don't often get the chance to do, especially with aircraft at air museums. Look forward to future events where I am waiting for Neil and the team to pull something else out of the bag to surprise us all. 10/10. If you are ever thinking off booking one of these events, I recommend just book it, you wont be disappointed.

I recently attended my first TimeLine Event at Didcot, having just joined as a TLE member  - Winter in the shed - what a great experience! Merging together my passion for social history and photography I was really looking forward to the event - and I wasn't disappointed! The venue was brilliant - old, authentic and atmospheric - even more so due to the smoke machines and steam from the trains.  Together, with professional, flexible, approachable and adaptable re-enactors, the perfect backdrop and atmosphere for railway shots was created. The cameo's set up by the TLE team were thoughtful and considered and the team ensured each photographer got the shot they were after.  Fellow photographers were polite, enthusiastic and willing to share their tips and techniques.  I really enjoyed the event and have already booked up for several more in the near future!

As a regular visitor to East Kirkby and Just Jane, I enjoy the oppressive to take part in TLE. Neil & Alan are brilliant in the way that they are there for all your needs and are very approachable particularly if you need a little technical help. I’ve attended photography events with other operators where re-enactors forget they they are chiefly there for us the customers, but the way that Neil & Alan get the guys and girls to to do repeat walks, or when they hold a certain pose for a few seconds. The banter is also good, and I particularly like the fact that we are all encouraged to be friendly and aware of each and to be polite. I cannot recommend TLE highly enough and look forward to a shoot containing the Mosquito in 2020. Rob Hayton

Attended the recent events to photograpgh High Speed Launch 102 and Motor Gun Boat 81 at Portsmouth. The weather was kind in the morning but the afternoon was less so. The trip was excellent both boats were put through their paces in the Solent with the photographer in mind. There were plenty of opportunities to get close up's as well as the more distant shots. Background for the shots varied from the dockyard, historic Portsmouth, the Solent Forts and white cliffs round the IOW. Took plenty of shots surprisingly many were in focus and very photogenic. The boat trip on Anchorman its self was a great experience, getting wet, losing balance but still managing to take pictures. I think everyone had big smiles on their faces when we returned. Neil and his staff made the day very enjoyable and it ran like clockwork. The volunters running the historic boats were very friendly and did everything we asked. The reenactors added just the right amount of colour. I would highly recommend this event.

Just a short note to say how much I enjoyed the above. This was my first TimeLine Event, and I shall definitely be back to do some more. The re-enactors really suit the environment in which they belong and I thought the smoke machines really added to the atmosphere! Thanks again!
