 I had a fabulous day out at Papplewick pumping station (Nottinghamshire) where I met ladies and gentlemen of Victorian Steampunk persuasion. They were all superbly dressed, very photogenic, happy to pose as instructed amidst the engineering backdrop of the Victorian pumping station. My experience of the event RAF Launch HSL102 - Portsmouth Historic Dockyard - 2nd July 2019 was electrifying. To see this speed machine at close quarters in action was amazing. To read up on it's history made the experience even more rewarding. The photographic opportunities to capture it's speed and versatility while maneuvering at very close range was exhilarating. I went on my first Timeline event at Buckfastleigh station for a night shoot. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening which was very well organised and have already booked my second shoot for later in the year.

Evening with Tornado at Didcot Railway Centre - This was my first event with TimeLine Events and I have to say that despite the best efforts of the weather to ruin things it was a really enjoyable evening. I had the chance to take pictures that I would normally never be able to. The lighting and the re-enactors really gave it that something extra. It also helped for me, a novice at this sort of thing, to have people around me who knew what they were doing to setup the shots and give me inspiration. After viewing some of the pictures others posted I now have even more ideas for the next time - I'm sure there will be a next time, since this went so well and was so enjoyable. Thanks to Neil and the team, the crew of Tornado and of course the re-enactors.

Fengate Farm Weeting 02-10-2019: The weather could not have been better, Sony turned up with cameras & lenses, WEX sponsored Sony, TLE used it's charm and organisational expertise to organise a fantastic day on the farm. The Farm & land army girls along with the steam machine men were outstanding, putting on a fabulous show for us. Breakfast & Lunch were available. The bottom line will be the quality of the images captured. I hope people will post the good ones. I used a AR7III + FF 24-105 f4 lens supplied by Sony plus my own Olympus EM1-X + a 100-400 Leica Zoom (FF 200-800). I had the full range 24mm-800mm to work with. All in all test of equipment and skill in near perfect conditions. Top marks on the day for The Fengate Farm Crew, WEX, Sony & TLE. Alan P
