My experience of the event RAF Launch HSL102 - Portsmouth Historic Dockyard - 2nd July 2019 was electrifying. To see this speed machine at close quarters in action was amazing. To read up on it's history made the experience even more rewarding. The photographic opportunities to capture it's speed and versatility while maneuvering at very close range was exhilarating. Ropley station evening shoot: I think the light was in our favor. The reenactors were impeccably turned out. The staff at Watercress were very accommodating and of course TLE organisation was top notch. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening shoot. I think I captured some shots I will keep. I know I haven't been shy posting them on my forums. I'm a member of Watercress, I think it has some fabulous locations to photograph. Some of the images I've seen from the other participants are beautifully presented. I've definitely picked up some tips & tricks. Looking forward to revisiting Watercress with TLE in the near future. ProTog event at Didcot 21st Oct. The most fascinating experience I had during the event, were the lighting and smoke setups. Coupled with the tips given by Mark the Pro, it allowed me to extend my understanding of my Olympus camera and lens in low light situations (low & high ISO, tripod & handheld, Colour & B&W). The reenactors gave the evening a real sense of authenticity to the atmosphere of the steam sheds at night.

 I had a fabulous day out at Papplewick pumping station (Nottinghamshire) where I met ladies and gentlemen of Victorian Steampunk persuasion. They were all superbly dressed, very photogenic, happy to pose as instructed amidst the engineering backdrop of the Victorian pumping station. A truly fabulous day out and shared with many like minded photographers. Nigel S

Didcot 27th Oct. I experienced some fabulous opportunities to capture the Tornado Steam engine, steamed up and moving. I enjoyed some outstanding golden hour light plus lighting set up outside and in the sheds by Time Line Events throughout the nights event. The overall perspective of Didcot is very rich in authentic period scenes and atmosphere. The reenactors added the icing on the cake.

Yesterday I attended my first event with TimeLine at Middle Wallop. I’ve just got to say what a great time I had. It was a long day with travelling from London and we all had ample of time to set up and take some great photos, nothing was rushed. Even had time to relax in-between shooting the different aircrafts. Everything was done with great professionalism from start to finish. Can you please pass on my thanks to Neil and the team and I’m very much looking forward to my next event. With warmest thanks.
