About this event

Ever wondered how the BBC and other program makers get street scenes in London during daylight hours with little or no traffic….? Well generally it’s because the filming is done late at night or in the early hours of the morning.

With the continued popularity of our regular vintage buses at night on the streets of the Capital we are now offering you the chance to capture two stunningly preserved London Transport Buses at various locations around the City at Sunrise. On the 13th of July, close to longest day we will be meeting at midnight close to Parliament Square to start our trip, taking in a number of locations before positioning ourselves on Thames Bridges in readiness for the Sunrise over the City. Our morning will then continue and take in a number of other locations in and around the Westend before finishing at our start location at around 06.00 on Sunday morning.

Our vintage buses for this trip will be the very beautiful turned out RT and either a second RT or and early RM, both buses owned and operated by Ensign Buses.

RT's were new in 1948, continuing in service well into the 1970's with the RM design entering its to service in around 1961.

We hope many of our regular supporters of bus events along with some new photographers will want to join us for this very unique event. Numbers will be limited to aid comfort at certain locations so to avoid disappointment we recommend an early booking.
