An early evening, sunset and night shoot at the Hanger 11 Collection North Weald

About this event

It gives us great pleasure to announce another exciting photographic event with two aircraft from the stunning Hangar 11 Collection based at North Weald Aerodrome, this time with Supermarine Spitfire PR Mk XI and and the Russian Spitfire, MK IX Supermarine PT87.

 Come with us as we re-create images that were once an everyday scene up and down the land during the 1940’s when the UK was fighting in the skies over the English Channel and mainland Europe. Add to this period re-enactors, props, lights, a few special effects and a US Jeep and you have a wonderful mix of photographic opportunities.

 

Our event will run from 18.00 through to 21.00 hours. The aircraft will both be positioned to ensure that the backdrop is authentic and devoid of modern buildings, and the 'planes will be spaced to allow them to be photographed separately as well as together. There will be two engine runs during the evening, one from each aircraft. In addition we have arranged for appropriately attired re-enactors, an American Jeep and a few other props to be on hand throughout the shoot.

 

The on site cafe will be open, serving hot food and drinks during the evening.

 

So come with us on a fully packed evening of Warbird photography just north of London and a few minutes off the M11, making it a very accessible location.
