About this event
With the successes of previous visits to Weeting behind us, we are pleased to be returning in August to take in the sights and sounds of another season down on the farm. During the war, while many of the men were away fighting for our country, many of the peace-time tasks were left to the girls. Harvest time was no different so, with a little poetic license and camera firmly in hand, we aim to recreate those once everyday wartime scenes of manual labour on the farm but with the added glamour of some beautiful girls playing out the part of the British Land Girls.
This visit will bring old farming ways to the camera with the use of Steam Traction, period Tractors and Threshing Equipment all out in the fields as once a common sight in the British Countryside. Add to this a touch of glamour and human interest with our Landgirl's on hand using the 1938 Fordson tractor and Dextor tractor with binder. We will also have traction engines in steam for powering the thrashing machine.
The shoot will take place out in the fields from lunchtime and run through to around 8.00pm, allowing us to hopefully take advantage of the late summer afternoon and evening sunshine. Our girls for this shoot will be re-enacting old farming ways while posing for us using old farm tools and, of course, having a crafty smoke. After the harvest is done, our ladies will change into period summer dresses and further pose for us, walking in the fields as the sun sets over East Anglia.
This event is a great chance for all types of photographers to come together and enjoy a summerís day out photographing beautiful girls in period scenes with a few twists along the way.
Tickets will be restricted to 25 to ensure a more relaxed and enjoyable shoot.
