About this event

Join in the spring for a unique photography experience designed to have you creating stunning portraiture in a beautiful landscape garden. We will have beautiful themed models who will be modelling a variety of outfits and doing classic poses amongst nature and fresh spring growth so this promises to be a great day of photography. The Pre-Raphaelite theme will allow us to create beautiful and poetic imagery that blends person and nature together in a celebration of life, spring and beauty. We aim to push the boundaries of your creativity, guiding you how to pose our models and use light and nature to create the perfect picture. The locations include folleys and a beautiful crystal grotto!

The Pre-Raphaelites were a group of English painters, poets, and art critics, founded in 1848 by artists that included William Holman Hunt, John Everett Millais and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. They sought to return to an abundance of detail, paintings that were full of colour and nature, many inspired by mythology and romance. The result is a beautiful collection of art, many that are dreamy and mysterious and that have beautiful depictions of female beauty.

Painshill Park is an 18th century landscape garden that was created between 1738 and 1773, by the Hon. Charles Hamilton. Inspired by Renaissance art and his Grand Tours, Hamilton went on to create a sequence of breath-taking and surprising vistas at Painshill. The landscapes form living works of art into which Hamilton placed follies for dramatic effect. We will have use of the full park and grounds for photography and this day will run on one of their normal opening days where people can visit the gardens. Due to this event running on a weekday outside of school holidays and the extremely large amount of space available there should be plenty of room for us to work around any visitors.
