Join us for an evening on a re-created Battle of Britain airfield with the replica Hurricane from the 1969 film; Battle of Britain, plus RAF crew

Join us in July for our first event at the charming We'll Meet Again Museum; an award-winning WW2 Homefront Museum, for an evening of vintage aviation photography as we transport you back in time to the summer of 1940. This promises to be a wonderful photography experience with plenty of variety and hopefully some lovely summer golden light. For our shoot we will have a host of at least 10 or more young re-enactors all portraying RAF crew & grounds staff. There will be various different areas and set ups available including a briefing room, officers mess, airman’s and officers quarters, field kitchen and medical tent along with many other areas. We will have the fully restored replica Hawker Hurricane that was used in the 1969 Battle of Britain Film and also a vintage RAF vehicle.

The restoration of the Hurricane was completed in November 2023 and will make for a wonderful prop and backdrop to our photography as well as the many tents and set ups throughout the museums grounds.

Our event will begin at 17:00 and finish up at 21:00 to take advantage of the summer evening light. The museum is open during the day until 4pm so you are welcome to come for the day to see the museum then join the photoshoot in the evening. There will be drinks and food available to purchase on the evening thanks to the vintage food tent.
